No one wants to hear they need a tooth extraction, but sometimes it’s the best solution to improving your oral health. At Fifield Dental Center, we offer:
- Simple Extractions: Also known as general extractions, this procedure targets and removes easily accessible teeth that are visible above the gums.
- Surgical Extractions: This is a more complex procedure, targeting and removing teeth that have not yet erupted through the gums.
- Wisdom Teeth Extractions: This procedure removes your third set of molars, also known as wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth removal is recommended for patients in their late teens or early twenties.
Dr. Dupper will ensure all tooth extractions are painless by numbing your mouth with a local anesthetic. No matter that type of extraction you require, the process will be quick and painless every time.
Partial and Full Dentures
Whether you’ve lost some or all of your teeth, dentures are an ideal solution to regaining your smile and lifestyle. With dentures, you can eat the foods you enjoy and smile with confidence once again. This quick, minimally invasive procedure will give you a complete smile again. Dentures are custom-made to fit your mouth naturally and comfortably.
We offer both partial and full dentures to address your individual needs.
- Partial Dentures: For patients only missing a few teeth, partial dentures are an effective way of filling in the gap. They’re removable and blend seamlessly with your surrounding teeth, restoring your smile and confidence.
- Full Dentures: Full dentures are given to patients missing most or all of their teeth. This custom-fit solution forms a close seal with your gums, giving your smile a natural look. Depending on your treatment plan, you may receive an upper or lower arch of teeth. In some cases, you may require both.
Crowns and Bridges
If you have one or more missing teeth, dental crowns and bridges may be the ideal solution to completing your smile.
Also known as tooth caps, dental crowns will likely be recommended if you suffer from severely damaged or decayed teeth. They restore the function and shape of your teeth, improving both their strength and appearance.
Dental crowns are a key component of dental bridges, a restorative treatment that bridges the gap between teeth caused by one or more missing teeth. Bridges are composed of two or more dental crowns on either side of a pontic, or a fake tooth. They’re supported by your natural teeth for a natural-looking solution to tooth loss.
Composite fillings restore a tooth damaged by decay to its original shape. They can also be used to repair chipped or cracked teeth. Dr. Dupper will customize the color of the composite to match your teeth, effectively and discreetly repairing damaged or decayed teeth.
Our fillings are metal-free, using a safe and durable resin composite that won’t wear down or stain your teeth like silver fillings. With proper oral health care and biannual visits to our Lakeway office, composite fillings can last up to 10 years before needing to be replaced.
Fiber Posts and Cast Posts for Root Canal Therapy
Also known as endodontic therapy, root canal therapy is a procedure in which nerves are removed from the pulp of a tooth in order to save the natural tooth from extraction. After this procedure, Dr. Dupper may recommend the use of posts to improve the tooth’s structure.
At Fifield Dental Center, we offer both fiber posts (fiber-reinforced resin-composite posts) and cast posts (cast metal posts). Dr. Dupper will determine which post best addresses your individual needs.
Extrusion refers to a tooth that’s been displaced out of its socket. The tooth may appear elongated or frequently shift as a result of extrusion. Orthodontic extrusions fix this issue without the need for a fixed dental bridge.
Root extrusion targets and restores teeth with a complex incisor crown-root fracture. This minimally invasive procedure allows for natural tooth preservation. Contact our Lakeway office at (512) 263-0064 to learn if you’re an eligible candidate for a root extrusion.
